History
- He was a police officer for thirty years in Atlanta; he made Detective Sergeant before retiring.[3]
- He said he's been divorced twice because he drank too much, saw too much, and brought it all home too much. He said he lost his faith and himself until he heard Jimmy Jay Jenkins preach. Clyde went to Jimmy Jay, was given a job, and was given a second chance to be a good man.[4]

- He said Jimmy Jay was a good man, a true man of God, and he'd hate it if his use of vodka came out in a way that smeared his name.[6]
