History

• Summerset's daughter; Roarke said he hooked up with Summerset and Marlena while he was a very young man and still in Dublin, on the street.^[7]
• Summerset and Marlena ran confidence games, superbly - mostly short cons.^[8]
• According to Roarke, Marlena fell in love with him and offered herself to him one night. He said he had been tempted and was cruel to her, sending her away shattered. He said that he, by doing what was right, betrayed her. Marlena left the house that night.^[9]

Homicide Information

• Raped, tortured (kneecaps broken), and killed by Dublin gambling cartel (to teach Roarke a lesson, and hurt him, for infringing on their territory^[10]).^[11]
• Inspector Maguire, a dirty cop in pocket of cartel, investigated Marlena's death for four and one-half hours before ruling it death by misadventure. He was killed six months later [not by Roarke].^[12]

Interesting Facts

• Over the course of almost three years (August 5, 2042 to July 31, 2044), Roarke hunted down, tortured, and murdered the six men responsible for Marlena's murder.^[13]
