"I'm twenty-eight. I graduated from slumber parties with girlfriends to having sex with men."
"Please." ____ pressed a hand to his heart. "Let's just say you had a friend spend the night. This is the sort of thing a father needs to take in stages."

“When you spot violence, or bigotry, or intolerance or fear or just garden-variety misogyny, hatred or ignorance, just look it in the eye and think, ‘The good outnumber you, and we always will.’” Patton Oswalt

I'm not 100% on this though

Everyone ought to worship God according to his own inclinations, and not to be constrained by force.

Is this Emma talking to her father in bed of roses when she goes to a family dinner and they take a walk in the garden and she starts to tell him about her and Jack.
I'm not 100% on this though
Nope, sorry.
Hint: This is from a single.
And here's a bit more:
"You're going to tell me, I hope, that you had a slumber party with an out-of-town girlfriend."
"I'm twenty-eight. I graduated from slumber parties with girlfriends to having sex with men."
"Please." ____ pressed a hand to his heart. "Let's just say you had a friend spend the night. This is the sort of thing a father needs to take in stages. Coffee, darling? That's a good girl."
"All right, all right, but there are things you need to know about... my overnight guest." She got out her bag of beans, poured some in her grinder.
"I already know the most important thing. He's not good enough for my baby. Nobody could be."
"This is so complicated. He's working for ___________ _____________."
"So, he's got a straight job, a nine-to-fiver." _____ shrugged his broad shoulder. "I can forgive that one."

Jack to Lanie, when he comes to visit her. During their conversation, Lanie suddenly remembers that Max is upstairs taking a shower; they had spent the night together.
Jack says the 1st quote, Lanie replies with the 2nd quote. Then Jack counters with the 3rd quote.

"He's just a fictional character...He's just a fictional character...He's just a fictional character...)
Women are much like angels. When you break our wings we simply continue to fly.....on a broomstick. We're flexible like that.
Light travels faster than sound, which is why so many people appear to be bright until they open their mouths.

Rule #6 states: Winning guess names the book and the page number OR fully describes the scene--who, what, where, when. Give as much detail as you can about what is happening before, after or during the quote.
Donna, you're right and you're up.
