What was your first Nora Roberts?

I lent it to a friend and never got it back so when I saw a reissue in Walmart on Friday, I picked it up to read again. I always referred to it as my favorite Nora, but wanted to see.
Well, it's still my favorite! Just love Jed and all the Nancy Drew references! (Nancy Drew books were what started my love affair with reading I think.)
So, I was wondering...the first Nora you read, the one that had you searching up everything ever written by her, is it your favorite?

But I saw Dance Upon the Air on the bookrack, and I liked the paranormal idea so I bought it. Before I was halfway through, I ordered the other two from Amazon, then I went on to the Dream trilogy and the Born In trilogy and then I found the JD Robbs, and that totally did me in. I'm hooked.

As far as JD Robb's, that was an accident too. I bought Purity in Death from this bookseller I go to. Anyway, read it, liked it but I was so confused with all the futuristic things that I had to check out the first book. Got really hooked when I read Naked in Death.

The article gave a brief synopsis of the book which caught my interest (paranormal, and mystery) and talked how a lot more women were reading romance novels and how they would get ideas on how to improve their sex life. Intrigued, I ordered the book from my book club and immediately fell in love with Nora's writing. From there, I started looking for her books in bookstores, through my book club, and in libraries. I liked her trilogies, and while I might not like all of her books, I was able to read them all. I picked up Hidden Riches again, and when I read the first line, I knew I had read it before and bought it.
I stumbled upon JD Robb when an excerpt of Conspiracy in Death was included in one of her regular books. When I saw that it was part of a series, I started looking for the books. Unfortunately, my library didn't have copies of any of them so I had to go to a Barnes and Noble to see if they had them. I finally found them in the mystery section and to my surprise they had them all starting with Naked in Death. I bought one or two per week until I had them all, and eagerly wait for her next installment.

I'd actually never read a "Romance" novel before. I heard about Nora Roberts when I was looking through Diana Gabaldon's "Outlandish Companion" for other authors I might like. Nora was recommended and so I thought I'd give her a try. I went to the library and found a beat-up paperback of "Daring to Dream." Well, needless to say, I loved it and scooped up every Nora book I could find after that. I put off reading the "In Death" books because I'm not a big murder mystery fan, but as soon as I read "Naked" I made a beeline to the bookstore and bought up every book from the series.
I've been hooked ever since, and my Nora addiction has proven quite helpful. Because she's so prolific, it helps me get through the wait for the next Gabaldon.

Later, I realized I had actually picked up quite a few NR books, without making the connection.

That one is Sweet Revenge, and to this day, it's one of my very favorites. The first one I read, and actually took note that it was "Nora Roberts" (as opposed to just "whoever") was - and I don't remember the title - about the Arab princess who was raised by her nuerotic actress mother, and became a jewel thief.

My first Nora was either Genuine Lies or Private Scandals...I can't remember which. Neither is my favorite, but I did like both of them.

Have you ever, like, walked naked to the fridge in the middle of the night to get a drink or something, and then you realize that someone saw you? And then you realize you're kind of into it? If not, then it never happened to me, either. Ever.

The first Nora Roberts book that I read was Sweet Revenge as well. I simply loved that book. That book has put me on the quest to read all of Nora's books. Well, except the way earlier ones. Of course, I love the In Death books the absolute most.
