What song do you most relate to Eve & Roarke, or what do you think could be their song?.

For me it's "I will be your hero baby" by Enruque Iglesias.

:flowers2: On a romanic night it could be: The Impossible Dream.
There are many songs that could fit the moment for them.
But you can go back to that old classic... You belong to me.

:band: hmmm... I am thinking that it would a snappy little jig.. Haste to the Wedding seems appropriate... words are:

Come haste to the wedding ye friends and ye neighbors,
The lovers their bliss can no longer delay.
Forget all your sorrows your cares and your labors,
And let every heart beat with rapture today.
Come, come one and all, attend to my call,
And revel in pleasures that never can cloy.
Come see rural felicity,
Which love and innocence ever enjoy.

Let Envy, Let Pride, Let Hate & Ambition,
Still Crowd to, & beat at the breast of the Great,
To Such Wretched Passions we Give no admission,
But Leave them alone to the wise ones of State,
We Boast of No wealth, but Contentment & Health,
In mirth & in Friendship, our moments employ
Come see rural felicity,
Which love and innocence ever enjoy.

With Reason we taste of Each Heart Stirring pleasure,
With Reason we Drink of the full flowing Bowl,
Are Jocund & Gay, But 'tis all within measure,
For fatal excess will enslave the free Soul,
Then Come at our bidding to this Happy wedding,
No Care Shall obtrude here, our Bliss to annoy,
Come see rural felicity,
Which love and innocence ever enjoy

I was thinking Dashboard Confessional's Vindicated. I love that song and I think it fits Eve & Roarke. :)

"You Belong to Me"

See the pyramids along the Nile
Watch the sunrise on a tropic isle
Just remember, darling all the while
You belong to me

See the market place in old Algiers
Send me photographs and souvenirs
Just remember when a dream appears
You belong to me

I'll be so lonesome without you
Maybe you'll be lonesome too
And blue

Fly the ocean in a silver plane
See the jungle when it's wet with rain
Just remember 'til you're home again
You belong to me

Maybe you'll be lonesome too
And blue

Fly the ocean in a silver plane
See the jungle when it's wet with rain
Just remember 'til you're home again
You belong to me

Maybe you'll be lonesome too
And blue

Just remember 'til you're home again

That's a beautiful song.
It would be a good choice for their song.

Oh aye, that song would be perfect for the couple. But, if you'll forgive my lack of romantic type thought, how about "Love hurts". After all they do put each other through the wringer in most of the books!
He says he's clever, suave and devilishly handsome. 'Tis a shame he's also a liar....

Boats, I think you just gave away the answer to the current "Name That Tune" Challenge:

Link to Name that Tune Challenge #54

However, I think I'm ineligible to guess. Maybe Boats should be declared the winner by default.

:canada: :newfoundland: I think Boats has it right on! If not 'You belong to me' than some other classic from a classic film, the kind Roarke loves. Eve would probably be quite accepting of that, probably see having a song of their own as just as inexplicable as cookouts. Isn't it in Naked where it says music for Eve began sometime after her tenth birthday?

Other possibilities that occur to me are: 'As Time Goes By' from 'Casablanca,' 'Blue Moon,' or 'Stardust.' Certainly that kind of song in any case.

I've always thought TWO LESS LONELY PEOPLE by Air Supply best fit them.

Two less lonely people in the world
and it's gonna be fine.
Out of all the people in the world
I just can't believe you're mine.
In a world where everything went wrong
Something finally went right.
Now there's two less lonely people in the world tonight.

Honestly I always hear "In Your Eyes" by Peter Gabriel.

Love I get so lost, sometimes
days pass and this emptiness fills my heart
when I want to run away
I drive off in my car
but whichever way I go
I come back to the place you are

All my instincts, they return
and the grand facade, so soon will burn
without a noise, without my pride
I reach out from the inside

In your eyes
the light the heat
in your eyes
I am complete
in your eyes
I see the doorway to a thousand churches
in your eyes
the resolution of all the fruitless searches
in your eyes
I see the light and the heat
in your eyes
oh, I want to be that complete
I want to touch the light
the heat I see in your eyes

Love, I don't like to see so much pain
so much wasted and this moment keeps slipping away
I get so tired of working so hard for out survival
I look to the time with you to keep me awake and alive

And all my instincts, they return
and the grand facade, so soon will burn
without a noise, without my pride
I reach out from the inside

In your eyes
the light the heat
in your eyes
I am complete
in your eyes
I see the doorway to a thousand churches
in your eyes
the resolution of all the fruitless searches
in your eyes
I see the light and the heat
in your eyes
oh, I want to be that complete
I want to touch the light,
the heat I see in your eyes
in your eyes in your eyes
in your eyes in your eyes
in your eyes in your eyes

I always thought of "Until There Was You" from The Music Man. It's a beautiful song and seems to kind of fit. (At least to me) :)

You're right. I like that one too for them. The Beatles also did a wonderful version of that.

Here are the lyrics for Vindicated by Dashboard Confessional:

Hope dangles on a string
Like slow spinning redemption
Winding in and winding out
The shine ahead has caught my eye
And roped me in so mesmerizing
It's so hypnotizing
I am captivated
I am

Vindicated
I am selfish
I am wrong
I am right
I swear I'm right
Swear I knew it all along
And I am flawed
But I am cleaning up so well
I am seeing in me now
The things you swore you saw yourself

So clear
Like the diamond in your ring
Cut to mirror your intention
Oversized and overwhelmed
The shine of which has caught my eye
And rendered me so
Isolated so
Motivated I am
Certain now that I am

Vindicated
I am selfish
I am wrong
I am right
I swear I'm right
Swear I knew it all along
And I am flawed
But I am cleaning up so well

I am seeing in me now
The things you swore you saw yourself

So tired of the corners of your lips
Part them and feel my finger tips
Trace the moment for forever
Defense is paper thin
Just one touch and I'd be in
Too deep now to ever swim
Against the current

So let me slip away
So let me slip away
So let me slip away
So let me slip against the current
So let me slip away
So let me slip away
So let me slip away
So let me slip away

Vindicated
I am selfish
I am wrong
I am right
I swear I'm right
Swear I knew it all along
And I am flawed
But I am cleaning up so well
I am seeing in me now
The things you swore you saw yourself

My hope dangles on a string
Like slow spinning redemption

I always liked a song by Dido called 'Here with me'. It was played recently in LOVE ACTUALLY. The lyrics (which are on the soundtrack) always remind of Eve and Roarke

hello all,
It's my first time posting but I just couldn't pass this one up.When I think of Roarke and Eve I think of Shania Twain's song THE WOMAN IN Me.The words of the song says everything about thier relationship.I'm not a big fan of country but I do like this song.KLee

I'm not always strong
And sometimes I'm even wrong
But I win when I choose
And I can't stand to lose

But can't always be
The rock that you see
When the nights get too long
And I just can't go on

The Woman in me
Needs you to be
The Man in my arms
To hold tenderly
Cause I'm a Woman in love
And You I run to
Yeah the Woman in me
Needs the Man in You

When the world wants too much
And it feels cold and outof touch
It's a beautiful place
When you kiss my face

Chorus again.
When you get to the end of all the light you know and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown, faith is knowing that one of two things shall happen;either you will given something solid to stand on,or you will be taught how to fly

I like Shania Twain's "From This Moment On" or maybe the song from Moulin Rouge "Come What May". Of course, there are lots and lots of more songs that I think are apt for Eve and Roarke

Well, survived another week of night shift.

Finally got home to find the lyrics of this song

"Here with me"
Dido
*****************
I didn't hear you leave
I wonder how am I still here
I don't want to move a thing
It might change my memory
Oh I am what I am
I'll do what I want
But I can't hide
I won't go
I won't sleep
I can't breathe
Until you're resting here with me
I won't leave
I can't hide
I cannot be
Until your resting here with me

I don't want to call my friends
They might wake me from this dream
And I can't leave this bed
Risk forgetting all that's been

Oh I am what I am
I'll do what I want
But I can't hide
I won't go
I won't sleep
I can't breathe
Until you're resting here with me
I won't leave
I can't hide
I cannot be
Until your resting here with me

 It just always makes me think of them
