“I can’t keep my balance I get it, and I cruise along for a while realising this is who I am now who we are now, and then sometimes I just look at you and stumble. And I can’t get my breath because all these feelings just rear up and grab me by the throat. I don’t know what to do about it how to handle it I think, I’m married to him I’ve been married to him for almost six months and there are times he walks into the room and stops my heart You’re the best thing that ever happened to me. In my life, you’re what matters most. I love you so much it scares me and I guess if I had a choice about it I wouldn’t change it"
“I’ve no choice either Eve, I wouldn’t want one”

Also, I don't know, having seen her only in Bones, whether she's tough enough for Eve. She does smart and arrogant well, but can you really see her taking out Julianna Dunne?

I love Emily, truly. Bones is one of my favorite shows. But I can't see her as Eve. I think she could do it, looks-wise, but her personality is completely wrong, and I think she'd probably translate Tempe into Eve, as Carole said. Temperance and Eve are complete and utter opposites in personality. Sorry, can't see it.

I hadn't realized until I read a post somewhere on this site how Bones and ID's main characters were similar in style. Booth/Roarke sexy, alpha male and Tempe/Eve confident, alpha female similar on the surface until you actually dig into the characters. Then we'd really get into the differences. But that's for another thread/forum.
I know I live in my own little world, but it's ok, They like me there!

Yes.. There's been a few episodes of the show where she's shown that she has considerable hand to hand fighting skills..

But if she was casted to play Eve, she would have to change that attitude to more of a hard nose bitchy Marine drill sergant. Well almost to that point.
She is an actress and should be able to emote the attitude of the character as necessarily called for by the script.
Then again she would be typed casted as Bones in any police drama...
Maybe a lesser known actress would be better in the role.
If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain:
If I can ease one life the aching,
or cool one pain,
Or help one fainting robin
Unto his nest again,
I sall not live in vain.

Emily plays Bones with a lady like attitude. I.E. Soft spoken and careful about other people's feelings in most instances.
Not to get off on a Bones thread, but are we watching the same show?? Tempe has no regard to social niceties and is rude to most people. Eve has more social skills--she may not enjoy being social, but she is better with people than Tempe.

I was wondering the same thing Carole. Although she's learned social skills thanks to Booth and other members of the team, she's still Tempe who says it like it is. I don't see her as soft spoken at all.
Agreed. I think she is a dead ringer for Eve except for eye color. As for fighting skill, the pilot episode in the airport, she takes down the Homeland Security guy easily.
I've always thought she would be a grea Eve. And yeah, Bones is not known for her people skills.

And Bones has gotten better at social interaction, but she's not good at social interaction by any stretch. She's extremely literal and states facts, regardless of their affect on others. A fact is a fact and there's no arguing facts with Bones. She always wins :-)
