Just wanted to take a moment to mention that our Wiki page will also have an "In Death Glossary"! This will be a good place to go to find definitions of words and phrases commonly used in the books.
The other reason I'm mentioning this is to let all of you know that if you don't have the time to do an entire Timeline for a book, you can always help out by adding to the glossary definitions. Here's how you do that:
Go to the Glossary Section of the Wiki site. Find a word listed there that you want to add a definition to. Click on that word, and if there's no definition yet, you'll likely see something like this:
Category Glossary
Click the edit button, and you'll see a text editing box with something like this inside:
Add your definition above where it says Edit Above This Line. Save.
That's it! You've contributed to the Wiki! Easy, huh? If you screw up, don't worry, one of the mods or I can fix it for you.
Some other time we'll go over how you would add a word to the Glossary that you don't already see there. But, this should be a good start for those of you who want to contribute, but don't have a lot of time.
Good Luck!

Ok, so...I'm thinking maybe many of you are just a bit intimidated by the whole Wiki thing. That's fine...I can understand that. So, what I thought is maybe we could start an "In Death Glossary" here with this thread, and people could suggest words and the definitions of those words here. Then, when someone suggests it here, one of the mods or I will add that word and definition to the wiki. Does that sound like a plan?
So, to start everyone off, here are some words or phrases that have already been added to the glossary and are in need of good definitions. Anyone is invited to pick a word or two and write a definition. Be as thorough as you can:
Blue Squirrel
Channel 75
CompuGuard
Cop Central
Freestar One
IRCCA
Olympus Resort
Testing
If anyone wants to add words/phrases that aren't in the above list, you are welcome to. There are plenty of good "In Death" vocabulary words out there.
Just trying to give everyone an easy way to contribute to the wiki.

Just in case more information comes in handy as a few questions have been floating around - here's a template, of sorts, that I hope might be useful.
To make an entry, you would copy everything below and replace any data listed in blue with new data from the books.

''''' Enter Name of Item/Establishment Here ''''' – Provide a description, what it does, who used it, etc. here. Please, cite your source.
