Chapter 27
At their home unaware of the plans that Max was making Roarke was standing vigil next to his sleeping wife hoping that the dreams would stay a bay. He was really unsure of what to do to make it better for her. He didn’t know how to help for once in his life he didn’t know how to help. He cant give her gifts to make it better he cant beat it and he cant threaten it how can he help her.
As he paced and watched it suddenly hit him he can bring all the important people that really matter to her here for as long as she needs them. In addition to that knowing Max as he did he would be looking for Eve’s weakness to lure her to him. With this Roarke called Mavis. “Mavis, I need you Bella and Leonardo to pack what you will need for an lengthy stay here.”
“Why; Roarke, is something wrong?”
“Max Ricker, is out and I fear that he may use you and your family to get to Eve.”
“Why does he want Eve besides the obvious of revenge?”
“Ricker, thinks that Eve is his daughter and wants his “daughter” with him.”
“What, that’s just nuts Eve’s father has been dead for years and years she killed him didn’t she Roarke?”
“That’s right you don’t know her parents were killed a couple of days ago in a holding cell at central by none other than a minion of Max Ricker.”
“What, Roarke your joking with me, Eve told me that she remembered killing him before your wedding.”
“SHE WAS WRONG! They were both alive she saw both of them in an interview room at central and now they are dead.”
“Oh, shit we’ll be there in a couple of hours.”
“Okay, you will come with the guards that I am sending for you and your family. You and your family will not go any where alone until Max Ricker is once again behind bars.”
“No problem I don’t want anything to my Moon Pie or my little Belly Button.”
“Of course we want nothing to happen to your family your rooms will be waiting for you.”
