Chapter 18: EpilougeEve was sitting in her office waiting for Jessamine to come in she needed to speak to her about what she had done.
“MRS Giovanna do you know why I wanted to speak to you?”
“Because of the postcards that I left on your desk right?”
“Yes, that is correct. When you were cleaning my office did you notice the board?”
“Of course, I always notice your board. I never discus it with anyone though.”
“Did you know that the person who was killing the people on my board was sending me postcards?”
“No, but Ronnie was sending you love letters on postcard. How did they get here?”
“Jessamine, those were the only postcards that I received were the ones that you placed on my desk?”
“You mean Ronnie was killing those people?”
“Yes he was. We arrested him last night. Right now he is under suicide watch. He tried to kill himself last night when we
found him.”
“Oh, no poor Ronnie.”
“Jessamine, yesterday you talked to my partner did you tell her that you wouldn’t contact Ronald Robertson?”
“Yes, I did. But I did not know that he was hurting people I just told him that he shouldn’t be sending love letters to married ladies. And that he needs to find someone who is available to be with.”
“Okay. Jessamine since you didn’t technically do anything wrong no action will be done. You should be aware of that.”
“Thank you Lieutenant Dallas. When can I see?”
“It will be awhile Jessamine he needs a lot of help. All you can do is keep checking and write to him he will need somebody to talk to when he is able to have visitors.
As she was getting ready to leave Jessamine turned to Dallas and said "Lieutenant, you really should find a better hiding place for your candy the plants really. It isn't very healthy to keep candy in there. The feed and fertilizer you know it is poisonous."
Dallas was speachless at what she had said. And she got up to get her candy.
