Chapter 4After a long day of no real leads and running around in circles Eve decided that she was done and gathered her belongings. As she walked out the door she looked once more at the murder board and wondered when she would be adding another name to the board.
“Go home, Peabody. We’ll take it up again in the morning.”
“Okay Dallas, see you in the morning.”
As she was making her way out of the squad room she decided to call Roarke. “Hey, Caro is Roarke in a meeting right now?”
“Actually he is just finishing up with a meeting did you need him for anything?”
“Not, really does he have anything after this or is he done for the day?”
“Actually, this is the last meeting for the day. He was planning on heading out after this one.”
“Good, could you grab him before he heads out and tell him that I am on my way to his office?”
“Certainly, are you sure that you don’t want to talk to him now?”
“No, I just wanted to know if he was through for the night and now I know.”
As Eve was driving towards Roarke’s midtown office she decided to do something she never does she would inform Summerset of her plans. “Summerset, just wanted to let you know that I am going to pick up Roarke and we’ll be late getting in. I know you probably already fed Galahad but could you give him the cream and a little bit of tuna for me.”

“Certainly, enjoy your evening.”
With that Eve pulled into her allotted spot and walked towards to elevator. As she rode up on the elevator she tried to think of anything but her case. She finally settled on deciding on where they should go for dinner. Unlike most night she knew didn’t want hamburgers and she didn’t want pizza. She supposed that she would just have Roarke decide where they should eat. After all Summerset and her had planned what they ate at the party. As the elevator doors opened she really was not surprised to see Roarke talking to his trusted assistant Caro.
“Hello; Lieutenant.” he said as he stepped away from the desk towards the elevator. “What brings you to my neck of the woods this fine evening?”
“Nothing, much I just thought that I would let you buy me dinner this evening wherever you want.”
“Okay, what do you want?”
“I just want to step away from this case for a couple of hours.”
“What case?”
“After dinner okay, after dinner.”
With that they bid Caro goodnight and headed out for dinner.
As Roarke and Eve were eating as Graham Harsten was arriving home from what was his third meeting of the day. As he was walking in he was thinking that this was hopeless. Margie told him that he had a choice the last time she left her and Gloria and the baby or the drugs. And well he chose the drugs I mean come on the FYU and Zeus the could make him fly and then they could mellow him out. But Margie had threatened to leave with Gloria and the baby. But she never left before; but this last time when he got busted and was sent away for a two years but he was out in one.
Margie and Gloria were not going to come back and they would never forgive him for what he caused. He then decided that he would go ahead and visit his old dealer DJ Steward and get something to make him feel better. An hour later Graham arrived home and proceed the process of getting as high as he could to make him forget what he did to the baby. Sometime later he was so high that he never heard the door open and he never heard the foots steps but he did feel the hands has they grabbed his head. Before the hands could twist he managed to scratch both of his killers hand. And then with one hard twist Graham Harsten’s neck snapped like a pretzel. And because he was prepared for such a thing he removed the meat cleaver and chopped off the hand which had scratched him. The hand was then wrapped in plastic and placed in the cooler he would dispose of it later and he knew just how to do it. He swept and cleaned the area of his work and then it was time for him to go to work.
