Chapter One

    “Dallas, I love you.”

    “Peabody, I love you, too.”

    Eject!”

    “Oh, Jeez!

    “Son of a bitch!”

It looked like they had practiced for years.  From disorganized flailing, control was obtained and they moved into smooth straight dives.  One news commentator pointed out it even looked like they pointed their toes as they hit the water together.

Two sleek heads popped up above the surface.  The two women stared as the bumper of the DLE Urban slipped under the bubbling water.  “And now I need another vehicle,” Eve complained, treading water.

“If your husband wouldn’t give you such cheap shit …” Peabody pointed out.  She looked up.  Way up.  “Brooklyn Bridge was built in 1883, I think.”

“Forget the bridge.  Are there sharks in this water?”

Peabody looked around in sudden worry.

Oh, man! Not the DLE! My guess Roarke had several made to have on stand-by. Sharks? LOL! Another good beginning.

Is this a dream? It would make a good dream, quirky and funny.

Was Peabody joking about the car? Roarke had that custom built just to keep Eve safe and warm. If Roarke is watching the news broadcast, I bet he's flipping out.

I thouth the DLE was indestructable. Is it going to fly out of the water or something? Need more.

Peabody was being her usual wise-cracking, tongue-in-cheek self.

I don't think Roarke had the DLE Urban designed with a dive off of the Brooklyn Bridge safety feature, although knowing Eve's style of driving, he should have.

Love the questions and comments! jlk

Another amazingly creative story! I don't know where everyone creates these plots, but I am so very glad that you do!
How did they get into such a predicament?
